Call for Application for WINGS-PES

"World-leading Innovative Graduate Study Program in Proactive Environmental Studies (WINGS-PES)"
will announce the call for applications targeting master’s course students (enrolling in October 2026) as follows:
 
<Eligible Applicants>
First-year master’s students who entered the University of Tokyo within the last six months and are enrolled in
1) the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences (GSFS); 2) the Graduate School of Engineering; 3) the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology;
4) the Graduate School of Science; 5) the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences; or 6) the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies.
 
<Application Period>
Wednesday, November 25, 2026 ~ Wednesday, December 2, 2026, 12:00 noon sharp (JST).

<Selection Method>
Results of application documents and interviews will be considered.
Only shortlisted students will be invited to the interview scheduled on Friday, December 18, 2026.
Applicants will be requested to give a presentation on their intentions and research plans.
Detailed information about the interview session will be communicated to those shortlisted.
 
<Application Guidance Session>
An online application guidance session will be held as follows:
- Date/Time: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, 12:15-12:55 (JST)
- Format: Online (via Zoom)

- Registration Deadline: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, 9:00 AM (JST)
 
The WINGS-PES Office will send the Zoom link to the applicants after 9:30 AM (JST) on Tuesday, November 10 by email.
 
The 2nd application guidance session will be scheduled on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 12:15 to 12:55 (JST).
It will also be held online via Zoom. The registration form will be announced later.
