Koshiba Hall/Lecture Rooms

Koshiba Hall

Koshiba Hall was established in commemoration of Special University Professor Emeritus Masatoshi Koshiba won the Nobel Prize, and is located in the central building of the School of Science Building No. 1.

Koshiba Hall, the foyer (lobby) in front of the hall, and Conference Room 4 (Room 231) across the hallway are also available for rent. If you wish to use these rooms, please refer to the following regulations and apply using the "Koshiba Hall Application Form".

Koshiba Hall

The AV equipment in Koshiba Hall can be operated using a touch panel. For details, please refer to the "Koshiba Hall AV Equipment Instructions for Use".

  • Number of seats in the hall: 176 (fixed)
  • Screen: Please choose among two types as follows.

    • Two screens in right and left: each 175"
    • One screen in center: 190"

Foyer

The space in front of the entrance of Koshiba Hall can be used for reception, poster sessions, etc.

  • Foyer’s Microphone equipment

Conference Room 4

Located on the same floor as Koshiba Hall, it can be used as a conference room, speaker’s waiting room, and poster session venue, etc.

Lecture Rooms

The Graduate School of Science and Faculty of Science have the 9 lecture rooms in total. They are located in the Central/East wings of Faculty of Science Bldg.1 and Faculty of Science Bldg.4.

Detailed application procedures and an overview of the facilities of each lecture room are described in the "Application for Use of Common Lecture Rooms (共通講義室使用申込みについて)”.
