SPRING GX & BOOST NAIS: 2025 Autumn Call for Applications

"SPRING GX"
The University of Tokyo "Fostering Advanced Human Resources to Lead Green Transformation (GX)” project (Project officer: Professor Shin-ichi Ohkoshi) supported by support for Pioneering Research Initiated by Next Generation (SPRING) of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), is a project involving approximately 1,315 doctoral students (including those in 4-year doctoral programs) from across the university. New SPRING GX has started in April 2024.
We are calling 100 students entering the doctoral course in Autumn 2025.

Eligibility: Those who plan to enroll in the doctoral program ( including 4 year doctoral program ) on the university's graduate school in September or October 2025.
Number of places: Around 100 students
Application period: From Friday, July 11, 2025, to 3pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025
*M2 students currently enrolled in WINGS are also eligible.

"BOOST NAIS"
Supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) under the BOOST initiative for young researchers and doctoral students in national strategic areas, the University of Tokyo’s project “Advanced AI Talent Development to Lead the Next-Generation Intelligent Society (BOOST NAIS)” is open to all doctoral students (including those in 4-year doctoral programs) at the university.
We are now seeking approximately 6 project participants who enroll in the doctoral program in the fall of 2025.

Eligibility: Those who plan to enroll in the doctoral program ( including 4 year doctoral program ) on the university's graduate school in September or October 2025.
Number of places: Approximately 6 students
Application period: From Friday, July 11, 2025, to 3pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025
 *M2 students currently enrolled in WINGS are also eligible.
