SPRING GX & BOOST-NAIS: 2024 Autumn Call for Applications

"SPRING GX"

The University of Tokyo "Fostering Advanced Human Resources to Lead Green Transformation (GX)” project (Project officer : Professor Shin-ichi Ohkoshi) supported by support for Pioneering Research Initiated by Next Generation (SPRING) of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), is a project involving approximately 1,154 doctoral students (including those in 4-year doctoral programs) from across the university. New SPRING GX has started in April 2024.
We are ca. 100 students entering the doctoral course in Autumn 2024.


Eligibility:
Those who plan to enroll in the doctoral program of the university's graduate school, or the doctoral program of veterinary medicine, medical science, or pharmaceutical science in October 2024.
Number of places: Around 100 students
Application period: From Thursday, 11 July to 3pm on Thursday, 1 August, 2024

"BOOST NAIS"

Supported by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) under the BOOST initiative for young researchers and doctoral students in national strategic areas, the University of Tokyo’s project “Advanced AI Talent Development to Lead the Next-Generation Intelligent Society (BOOST NAIS)” is open to all doctoral students (including those in 4-year doctoral programs) at the university. We are now seeking approximately 6 project participants who enroll in the doctoral program in the fall of 2024.

 

Eligibility:
Those who plan to enroll in the doctoral program of the university's graduate school, or the doctoral program of veterinary medicine, medical science, or pharmaceutical science in October 2024.
Number of places: Around 6 students
Application period: From Thursday, 11 July to 3pm on Thursday, 1 August, 2024
