Inside the KAGRA Underground Facility: Observing Experiments with the Large Cryogenic Gravitational Wave Telescope KAGRA, located in Kamioka, Gifu Prefecture, is a large-scale laser interferometer with 3-kilometer-long arms. By being placed underground and cooled to cryogenic temperatures, it reduces noise levels. KAGRA aims to detect gravitational waves from cosmic events such as black hole mergers.
