昭和基地から見た海氷と蜃気楼
昭和基地から見た海氷と蜃気楼風の弱いよく晴れた日の昭和基地では、放射冷却や海氷によって冷やされた海氷面に接する空気の層が、その層の上の空気と大きな密度差を持つことによって、実際の風景が縦に伸びたり逆さになって見える蜃気楼が見られる。
