木のミクロ構造
木を構成する細胞を試験管内で作り出し、顕微鏡で観察しました。細胞壁を赤い蛍光色素で染色すると、ところどころに孔の空いたような細胞壁の模様が見られます。このような細胞壁の構造は、木を構成する細胞のうち、後生木部道管と呼ばれる細胞に特有のものです。
