Tide-induced vertical mixing in the ocean: mechanism and effects on large-scale ocean and climate phenomena

Current Research

Vertical turbulent mixing in the ocean is one of the most important physical processes that control the global ocean circulation and the associated water mass formation and transportation, and hence also influence the global climate. I am studying about its generation mechanism, spatial and temporal variability, and impacts on large-scale phenomena including climate variability, by conducting numerical simulations as well as by analyzing observational data.
