Faculty Search for Project Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo

2. Field of Research:
This appointment is in the lab of Biomolecular Chemistry in the Organic Chemistry division. Research will be in the general area of Chemical Biology, with a specialized focus on organic synthesis, protein engineering, fluorescence spectroscopy, and applications in cell imaging. The hired Project Assistant Professor will conduct research and education activities in close collaboration with Prof. Robert E. Campbell.
3. Qualifications:
The main criteria for selection is a track-record of original and pioneering research in the area of Chemical Biology, with demonstrated excellence in some or all of the specialized focus areas listed above. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong potential for outstanding contributions to teaching and training at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates require a Ph.D. plus one or more years of postdoctoral training.
4. Position Start Date:
No earlier than November 1, 2019

  3. Reprints of 5 selected original publications
