Current Research
I conduct research on stars and their formation, primarily through optical and infrared observations using ground-based telescopes. Currently, my main focus is on "wide-field, ultra-fast time-domain astronomy" using the Schmidt telescope at the University of Tokyo's Kiso Observatory. This includes studying various temporal variations in stellar luminosity, transient phenomena such as flares, and also optical transients associated with high-energy phenomena like Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs), which are being actively investigated by Assistant Professor Yu Niino, with whom I am building a research group. In addition, through the operation and management of the observatory, I am pursuing the long-term development and systematization of observational techniques from various perspectives.
