- Heavy-ion nuclear physics
- The Center for Nuclear Study (CNS), School of Science, the University of Tokyo, invites applications for an assistant professor position. CNS operates several experimental devices at the RIKEN accelerator facility, including the RIB deceleration and focusing device OEDO, and the high-resolution magnetic spectrometer SHARAQ. The successful candidate is expected to carry out research in low-energy nuclear physics using these devices, in collaboration with other CNS faculty members. In addition, the candidate is encouraged to develop new research directions and/or experimental techniques. We welcome applications from motivated early-career researchers with strong ambition to explore new frontiers in heavy-ion nuclear physics.
- (Scope of Work Change): The appointee may be assigned to different duties, including concurrent posts or temporary transfers. Such changes will not be made against the individual’s will in principle (for details, see Article 4 of the University of Tokyo Employment Regulations for Faculty Members).

- Discretionary work system for professional work applies and working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day

- Basic Salary will be decided taking your academic background, professional career, etc. End of semester bonus and diligence bonus (twice a year), Commuting allowance (up to 55,000 per month if the payment conditions are satisfied), and other allowances decided by the University

- You will be enrolled in the insurance from the Mutual Aid Association of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and Employment Insurance by being provided for in the law

- Holder of a doctoral degree, or those who are expected to obtain a doctoral degree by the time of appointment
