Recruitment Info for Project Researcher (Postdoctoral Fellow) at Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo

- The contract is yearly (April to March) and can be renewed. The end date is no later than March 31, 2031. Renewal of the agreement will be determined by all relevant factors, including: progress on the work assigned to you, your performance, work record, professional attitude, budget status, and the amount of the work completed by the end of the term.

- 6 Contents of work duties
- Development and biological application of protein-based fluorescent biosensors and optogenetic tools. The hired Postdoctoral fellow will conduct research activities in close collaboration with Prof. Robert E. Campbell. Please check the laboratory website for details.

- (Scope of Change) In principle, the University could change or reassign work duties.
- 7 Working hours
- Discretionary work system for professional work applies and working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.
- 8 Days off and Leave
- Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)
- Annual Paid Leave, Special Leave, etc.
- 9 Wages, etc.
- Basic Salary will be decided taking account of your academic background, professional career, etc. Estimated range would be between 350,000 to 450,000 yen per month.
- Commuting allowance (up to 55,000 per month if the payment conditions are satisfied) is provided.
- 10 Insurance
- You will be enrolled in the insurance from the Mutual Aid Association of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and Employment Insurance according to the law.
- 11 Qualification requirements
- 1) Ph.D. degree (must be obtained before the start date)
- 2) Research experience in the fields of protein engineering, chemical biology, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or bioimaging

- 3) Reprints of up to 3 selected original publications
- 4) Statement of previous research (A4 or US letter, two pages maximum)
