A junior faculty position at the rank of an assistant professor is available for a suitably qualified individual to work in cooperation with Professor Shinji Mukohyama at Research Center for the Early Universe (RESCEU), Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo.

3.Area of expertise and job description
Theoretical Astrophysics. In addition to conducting research and graduate education in astrophysics in cooperation with Professor Shinji Mukohyama, the successful candidate will also be responsible for various tasks at the Center and undergraduate education in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science (with the same duties as an assistant professor in the Department of Physics with regard to undergraduate education).
Note: Reassignment, concurrent assignment, or transfer will not be imposed without consent in accordance with Article 4 of the university's employment regulations.

Note: In principle, the University could change the designated place of work, but no reassignment or secondment will be against one's will. (In accordance with Article 4 of the Regulations on the Employment of University of Tokyo Faculty Members).
8.Working hours
Discretionary work system for professional work applies, and working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.
9.Days off, Leave
Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3), Annual Paid Leave, Special Leave, etc.
10.Salary and Benefits
To be determined based on academic background, work experience, etc. Salary increase system is available.
Various allowances: Year-end and diligence allowance (twice a year), commutation allowance (up to 55,000 yen per month if meeting requirements), and others as determined by the University.
11.Insurance
The successful applicant will be automatically enrolled in the insurance from the Mutual Aid Association of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology) and Employment Insurance.
12.Qualification Requirements
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree.
