7 Contents of work duties
The appointed Associate Professor will conduct, in the Quantum Computing and AI Technology Research Division of the ICEPP, UTokyo, fundamental research on quantum computing, application of quantum computing to fundamental physics and/or applied physics, as well as research on a long-term quantum technology development including fault-tolerant quantum computing. The appointed person is expected to lead the field of quantum research by collaborating with domestic/international universities and research institutes, establishing a research network over multidisciplinary fields of science.
In principle, the University could change or reassign work duties, but not against one’s will. (In accordance with Article 4 of the Regulations on the Employment of University of Tokyo Faculty Members).
8 Working hours
Discretionary work system for professional work applies and working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.
9 Days off and Leave
Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)
Annual Paid Leave, Special Leave, etc.
10 Wages, etc.
Basic Salary will be decided taking your academic background, professional career, etc. End of semester bonus and diligence bonus (twice a year), Commuting allowance (up to 55,000 per month if the payment conditions are satisfied), and other allowances decided by the University
11 Insurance
You will be enrolled in the insurance from the Mutual Aid Association of MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) and Employment Insurance by being provided for in the law.
12 Eligibility
Persons with Ph. D or equivalent degree are considered to be eligible.
