ICEPP is involved in the LHC ATLAS experiment. The successful candidate will work on R&D of data-analysis or computing with the following items towards HL-LHC, which will be started 2027:

• Data-analysis using machine learning/deep learning (※)
• Application using quantum computing algorithm
• Computing model using latest ITC technology

Regarding ※, he/she will join a project, which is conducted by ICEPP in Beyond AI institute of UTokyo.

3 Term of Employment

As early as possible after acceptance is notified, to date 2021/3/31.

Probationary period is 6 months from the date of arrival.

4 Renewal of Contract

Your employment contract may be renewed (maximum 5 years). In case of renewal, the employment contract will be renewed annually.

Renewal of an employment contract will be determined by the following factors: budget status, assigned work progress, end-of-period work volume, all relevant factors such as performance, work records, attitudes, and/or your Medical condition.

6 Salary and Benefits

Determined according to the University Rules, depending on the appointee’s experiences etc.

7 Work Hours

Discretionary labor system, based on 7 hours 45 minutes per day.

8 Holidays

Saturdays and Sundays, Statutory public holidays of Japan, Year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 through January 3), Annual paid leave, Special paid leave

9 Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent
