Phase transition phenomena of polymer and inorganic materials induced by electric stimuli
Current Research
Aggregation state of molecular assemblies in solutions and molecular dynamics in crystals change drastically at the phase transition of the materials. A large entropy, enthalpy, or volume change are generally observed in the course of phase transition. Our lab studies on the induction of the phase transition of polymer or inorganic materials by electric stimuli and its applications in thermoelectric conversion, thermal storage materials, and soft actuators.
