Molecular mechanisms underlying neurogenesis and neuroprotection
Current Research
The mammalian brain is constituted with neurons and glia, which are generated from neural progenitor cells during the embryonic stage, migrate to the destination from their birthplace, and are maintained during the lifetime. Deregulation of these events is known to induce brain malformation and neurodegenerative disorders. The aim of our research is to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying these events and decipher the key event in brain malformation and neurodegenerative disorders.
