Research Subject
Ergodic theory of discrete groups and orbit equivalence relations
Current Research
Ergodic group theory was launched with recent development of the theory of discrete groups and is rooted in unitary representation theory and the theory of von Neumann algebras. I am interested in ergodic actions of discrete groups on measure spaces and the associated orbit equivalence relations, and study them through functional analytic or geometric properties of groups.
Keywords
Discrete groups, orbit equivalence relations, measured groupoids, von Neumann algebras, amenability, rigidity
