Mathematical studies of conformal field theory using operator algebras

Current Research

Conformal field theory is a physical theory, but it has deep connections to many topics in highly advanced mathematics.
My emphasis is at representation theoretic aspects and mainly uses subfactor theory of Jones in operator algebras.
I am interested in other connections to quantum groups, vertex operator algebras, solvable lattice models, noncommutative geometry, infinite dimensional Lie algebras and three-dimensional topology.
