Current Research
My current research is on chemical evolution from star forming clouds to protoplanetary disks. With the state-of-the-art radio telescopes in the world, our group is conducting extensive observations of chemical compositions of various star forming regions, and is studying systematic chemical differentiation among them. For the future observation of some key chemical species like CH, CH2, H2D+, we are also developing superconducting hot electron bolometer (HEB) mixers in a clean room of our laboratory. We are planning to install the HEB mixer receiver on the ASTE 10 m telescope in Chile to conduct a line survey of star forming regions in the THz region.
