Research Field
Tectonics, structural petrology
Research Subject
Mountain building processes in subduction and plate collision zones
Current Research
My work combines a range of different techniques in structural geology and petrology to understand how subduction zones and domains of continental collision develop. I am particularly interested in the links between metamorphism and deformation and how this information can be used in combination with information from other fields, such as seismology, to approach problems such as defining mantle flow patterns and understanding the processes controlling slow earthquakes.
