Current Research

I am studying the evolutionary mechanisms relevant to the expansion and complexification of human cerebral cortex. Using the approaches in genomics, transcriptomics, stem cell research, and manipulations of the embryos of model organisms, I aim to identify molecular and genetic basis of the developmental programs constructing human or hominid-specific features of the cerebral cortex.
