Research Subject
Study on Various Organic Compounds Distributed in Surface Environment
Current Research
My main research interest is to study organic substances in surface environment. To be more specific, I am working to determine the structures of organic materials that exist in earth surface (organic earth chemical analysis), to understand where they come from (origin of organic materials), and to clarify what kind of structural changes they underwent in what kind of environment (sedimentological environment, diagenetic environment, thermal history). Furthermore, my research interests include elucidation of the role of microbes involved in thick assembly of elements (mineral deposit formation) on the basis of analysis of organic molecules (biomarkers).
