Research Field
Physical organic chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, nanoscience
Research Subject
New reactions, new molecules and new functions to be useful for development of new science and new technology, e.g., organic photovoltaic and electron luminescence devices
Current Research
Chemistry goes beyond the classical boundary of chemistry. Our research is firmly based on synthetic organic chemistry, and expands to the area of energy and social issues. Electron microscopic imaging of single organic molecules, theoretical and experimental mechanistic studies of organi reactions, catalysis by ubiquitous metals such as iron, organic electronic such as organic thin film photovoltaic devices are the subject studies vigorously in the laboraties.
