研究内容の概要

The strong interaction QCD describes the interaction of quarks and gluons and is responsible for most of the mass of the visible universe. The simplest bound state of the strong interaction is the proton where one can study the interplay its constituents and how they contribute to the general properties such as mass and spin of the proton. This study is performed at high-energy colliders, such as RHIC at Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA, as well as the future Electron-Ion Collider EIC.
Fragmentation functions help in identifying the initially struck quark or gluon type, spin and momentum by correlating them with detected final state hadrons
