研究内容の概要
Quantum Bits (Qubits) and Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs): Qubits are the fundamental building blocks of quantum technology, enabling superposition and quantum coherence, crucial for quantum information science (QIS) and its applications. MOFs, with their tunable structures and host-guest chemistry, offer a promising platform for integrating molecular qubits and developing robust qubit systems for practical QIS applications such as quantum communication and sensing/recognition. Leveraging singlet fission (SF) to create supramolecular qubit materials by incorporating SF-active chromophores into MOF topologies, we aim to create supramolecular qubit (quintet qubit) materials that enable precise control of chromophore dynamics and optimal quantum coherence. This approach allows for the development of qubit materials operating under mild conditions, suitable for quantum sensing and recognition.
