Abstract:
Porphyrin-fullerene systems, either blends or covalently linked ensembles, are often referred to as prospective materials for transformation of solar energy to useful forms of energy, like electric power or the energy of chemical bonds. A brief introduction to this topic illustrated by recent examples from this research field will be presented in the lecture. In particular, synthetic and physicochemical aspects will be considered and the problems of structure-property relationship will be discussed.
