On Monday May 23rd 2016, the 52nd Annual Koishikawa Science Students and Faculty Gathering was held. As the oldest botanical gardens in Japan, the Koishikawa Botanical Gardens, owned by the Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo, has played an important role in the history of Japanese scientific research.

Welcomed by Prof. Fukuda, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, students and faculty members of the School of Science were invited to enjoy the beauty of the botanical gardens whilst food and drinks were served. Many GSC students who attended the event were glad to have the opportunity explore the historic site for the first time and socialize with their classmates.
