From October 5th to 9th, Lecturer Hatoyama, Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, visited the two STEPS partner universities in Russia: Saint Petersburg State University (SPbU) and Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU).
At SPbU, there was a technical meeting about further student exchange at the Graduate School of Management (GSOM), where we agreed that the first student exchange program with GSOM would start in 2016. We also had a chance to visit the new GSOM campus in Mikhailovskaya Dacha. We then had a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations and discussed our plans for a joint seminar to be held in Tokyo in 2016.
At MSU we visited the Business School and both sides agreed on the possibility of a student exchange in the fields of business, infrastructure and urban planning. We also managed to discuss possible directions of our further collaborations. After that, we met with Professor Mazurov at the Faculty of Geography and had a talk on the forthcoming collaboration seminar.
