Visit to the Saint Petersburg State University and the Lomonosov Moscow State University

As a representative of the STEPS program, Dr. Hatoyama (Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering) visited the Saint Petersburg State University and the Lomonosov Moscow State University on June 24-26, 2015.

At Saint Petersburg State University, he met with the representative of the university administration, Mr. S. Andryushin, where they reached a mutual agreement on the Memorandum of Understanding between our universities. Both sides acknowledged the intention to promote further Japanese-Russian collaboration. Moreover, as a result of meetings with administrations of the Institute of Earth Sciences and the Graduate School of Management, these two institutions agreed to join STEPS as new partners.

At Lomonosov Moscow State University he managed to meet with Vice Rector Professor A. Fedyanin, Advisor to Vice Rector Professor Y. Mazey, and coordinator of international programs Ms. O. Bogomolova and discuss future directions of the STEPS collaboration.
