This is a call for application for the following two summer short programs.
[Date] 5 weeks from June 24, 2024
[Venue] First week (June 24 - 28): NUS, Second - Fifth week: online
[Capacity] Five undergraduate students (year 3 or above during the program, further selection may be conducted by NUS after nomination from UTokyo.)
[Expenses] NUS covers program fee, accommodation and 800 SGD will be funded for each participant for those who are nominated by UTokyo and selected NUS. Other expenditures such as flight tickets, meals, insurance, personal expenses, and so on are to be paid individually.）

[NUS Eligibility Criteria and Requirements]
・Undergraduate students (year 3 or above during the program) from any field of study can apply.
・A portfolio (including academic information and achievements, and any other notable out-of-class activities / accomplishments)（free format) are required to submit at the time of application.
・English requirements: Students should have good written and speaking English skills.

[Date] June 24 - July 19, 2024
[Venue] Singapore Management University
[Capacity] Tuition fee waiver: Three undergraduate or graduate students, Fee-paying with partner discounts: Undergraduate or graduate students (no maximum)
[Expenses] Tuition fee waiver for three students who are nominated by UTokyo. In the case of fee-paying with partner discounts: 10 or 15％ discounts would apply for original tuition fee of 1 course SGD 3,000 and 2 courses SGD 5,000.（Application fee SGD 150, Miscellaneous fee SGD 230, accommodation, airline tickets, meals, insurance, personal expenses, and so on are to be paid individually even in both cases of fee waiver or discount.）

[SMU Eligibility Criteria and Requirements]
・Both undergraduate and graduate students from any field of study can apply.
・Valid English proficiency certificate is required at the time of application.
・English requirements: IELTS score of at least 6.5, TOEFL score of at least 577 points (paper-based) or 90 point (internet-based)

[Document]Outline
・Applying students are required to be enrolled in a regular course of a College/Faculty throughout the program period. (Those who are on temporary leave from the University during the time of the program and those who graduate from/complete the College/Faculty of UTokyo during the program period are not eligible.)
・Before applying, please confirm and consult with your affiliated College/Faculty at the time of participation to the program about participating in the program to ensure you fully understand issues concerning study-abroad. In case it turned out that participation to the program will affect your study plan at UTokyo, your affiliated College/Faculty may not permit your participation to the program even after you are accepted by the host institutions.

Apply from the “Overseas Study” tab on the Academic Affairs System website (UTAS). Please follow the application procedures below. Also, please refer to “Applying for Study Abroad Programs via UTAS” .
(1)Make sure to complete the online application via UTAS before the deadline. The electronic application system will be closed after the application deadline.
(2)Please check and follow the instruction indicated on UTAS application form.
(3)Please upload completed "Written Oath", academic transcripts from institutions other than UTokyo (applicable to those who obtained degree from institution of higher education other than UTokyo.) and documents required for each program as described [Eligibility Criteria and Requirements]above on "Attachment” of UTAS when applying.
1.Internal Selection Process
(1)UTokyo will review the application documents and select students to nominate. The International Education Promotion Group of UTokyo will then nominate those who have passed the selection.
(2)Notification of the selection results will be made via e-mail to you and the relevant office of your College, Faculty or Graduate school.
