研究テーマ

ユビキタス金属触媒による新規合成反応の開発と応用

研究内容の概要

Important challenges for modern science are energy, resources and environment. 
Our group believes that chemistry has a central role in addressing these challenges.
Creation of new molecules is the central task or chemistry, and we are developing 
new ways to create them: more efficiently, cheaper and greener. For example, instead 
of expensive and toxic metals, we use the ubiquitous iron as a catalyst, to create new 
molecules by direct activation of inert bonds. Ultimately, we aim of utilizing these
inexpensive and benign methods to create target functional molecules for medicine or 
materials science.
