Regulation of meiotic cell cycle in fission yeast
Current Research
Meiosis is a specialized cell division that is required for gametogenesis.Fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe is one of ideal model organisms to study meiosis. We are currently trying to clarify the molecular mechanisms of meiosis by utilizing fission yeast. We especially focus on the regulation of RNA metabolism during meiosis.
