Research Subject
Studies of Membrane Traffic in Plants
Current Research
Membrane trafficking is a fundamental and crucial system for all eukaryotes, whose machinery is widely conserved among eukaryotic lineages. On the other hand, each lineage has evolved unique mechanism for membrane traffic, fulfilling specialized function. Using several plants including Arabidopsis thaliana, moss and liverwort, we are studying molecular mechanism, function and evolution of the membrane traffic in plants.
