Current Research
For the cell differentiation in the developmental process of living organisms, switch-on and off of particular genes are involved. As we can see in the binding of neuron and muscle cells, uneven distribution of particular molecules occurs in each cell when differentiated cells communicate with each other. My main research interest is to clarify these structures at the molecular level. As a model organism, we use Drosophila whose genetic analysis is highly advanced.
