Reconstruction of environmental changes in the past and exploration of the behind mechanisms
Current Research
In order to properly evaluate the human impact on the climate and environment of the earth, it is necessary to place the phenomenon of interest within a framework of an complex system of the earth and explore the response mechanism of the earth system to the perturbation. I am specially interested in the rapid climatic changes of the past and try to understand their mechanism through reading the past climatic/oceanographic records preserved in marine sediments and rocks exposed on land.
