Current Research
My research theme is to understand the fundamentals of important life processes, based on three-dimensional structures of biological macromolecules. My major interest is in the genetic-code expression. Current targets include RNA polymerase, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases, and selenocysteine biosynthesis machineries. The goal is a comprehensive understanding of the systems driven by these proteins, by systematic structural studies implemented with biochemical analyses.
