Research Subject
Material Evolution of the Solar System by Comprehensive Analysis of Astromaterials
Current Research
I am studying the material evolution of the solar system by analyzing astromaterials such as meteorites by using mineralogical and crystallographic techniques. This is to understand how the solar system formed, what kind of processes it has experienced, and how the planetary materials have become what they are. I am especially paying attention to the difference between lunar and martian rocks and terrestrial ones by analyzing martian meteorites and Apollo lunar rocks. I am also working on the analysis of the Wild 2 cometary particles returned by the NASA Stardust mission.
