Research Field
Nuclear Astrophysics, Nuclear Physics
Research Subjects
Nucleosynthesis in explosive phenomena such as Novae and Supernovae. Nuclear cluster structure, and reactions of unstable nuclei.
Outline of Research
Investigate the evolution of the universe and the origin of elements from nuclear phyhsics point of view. Experimental study of nuclear reactions of unstable nuclei at stellar temperatures provides detailed information for the mechanism of explosive phenomena in the universe. The subjects include the creation of the early universe just after the big bang, gamma-ray bursts, supernovae, etc. Nuclear physics study of unstable nulcei, especially of cluster structure, and the reactions are also the subjects.
Key words
Explosive nucleosynthesis, origin of elements, nuclear structure of unstable nuclei, nuclear cluster structure, reaction of unstable nuclei.
