Investigation of Microstructures in Minerals and Related Materials using mainly Electron Microscopic Techniques
Current Research
By using high-resolution analysis equipments such as TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope), and SPM (Scanning Probe Microscope), I am working to clarify the formation mechanisms of minerals and related inorganic materials by analyzing their atomic structures. My main research focuses especially on microscopic clay minerals and biologically-relevant inorganic materials.
