Planetary Science, Isotope Cosmochemistry

Research Subject

Studies on solar system formation processes based on isotopic and trace element analyses on meteoritic samples.

Current Research

Using an ion microprobe, I am performing isotopic analyses of O, Mg, etc., and elemental abundance analyses of rare earth elements, etc., on components or minerals in primitive meteorites. In particular, I am interested in refractory inclusions and chondrules, both of which were formed by high temperature events in the earliest history of the solar system.

Keywords
