Research Field

Theoretical condensed matter physics

Research Subject

Electron correlation, superconductivity, magnetism, qauntum Hall effect, materials design

Current Research

My primary interests are electron correlation effects, i.e., superconductivity, magnetism and fractional quantum Hall effect. My most recent interest includes the iron-based new superconductor. Another avenue is the physics of graphene. To go futher afield, I am advocating a notion of the "materials design for correlated electron systems" for both inorganic, organic and mesocopic systems. Theoretical methods include DMRG, DMFT, exact diagonalisation, functional renormalisation group, first-principles electronic structure and its downfolding.

Keywords

Many-body physics, electron correlation, high-Tc superconductivity, magnetism, quantum Hall effect, materials design, first-principles electronic structure, mesoscopic systems
