Current Research

Water on earth as liquid is a characteristic of earth environment, which is a contributing factor for the rise of life. Concerning planets in general including planets outside the Solar System, I am working to clarify an environment where water can exist as well as necessary conditions to maintain such environment. Also, my research interest includes elucidation on the formation of characteristic of each terrestrial planet. Currently, my research focuses on theoretical study in the following three fields: planetary climatology, early evolution of the planets, and planetary tectonics.
