Tea Party

ILO holds an international tea party 2-3 times a year. This is to provide a chance to meet new friends and enjoy a chat among international students, visiting fellows and Japanese students who belongs at the School of Science. On some occasions, students take this time to introduce his/her home country. Please inquire at ILO for the detailed schedule.

Organized Excursion

With the fund from The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho), International Students can enjoy a two-day, one night trip for the purpose of experiencing Japanese culture. In the School of Science, a trip is organized with this allowance, providing a chance to get to know more friends.

We visited Nikko, Yamanaka Lake, Hakone, Izu, Kiyosato, Azumino & Matsumoto, Nikko and Karuizawa in the past.

In December, we close the year by holding a big lunch party. This is open to everyone at School of Science and volunteers are welcomed to bring their home country dishes to enjoy a variety of foods.
