Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi awarded 2016 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

We would like to extend our congratulations to Dr. Yoshinori Ohsumi, a specially appointed professor at the Tokyo Institute of Science and Technology, for receiving the 2016 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Dr. Ohsumi obtained his doctoral degree from the Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo and worked as a research associate and lecturer for the Faculty of Science before assuming his current position at the Tokyo Institute of Science and Technology.
